  • Community Outreach volunteers play a crucial role in fostering connections between our organization and the community. These volunteers are responsible for helping staff with tabling events, distributing flyers, and assisting in community event planning.

    • Promotional Activities: Distribute informational materials, help with social media posts, and look into local media to increase awareness of the clinic

    • Tabling at Events: Help Volunteer Program Manager with event set up, engage with community members during events, distribute free goodies, answer questions about the clinic, and hand out brochures

    • Event Coordination: Help Volunteer Program Manager plan events, attend event meetings, and assist with inventory/supplies for events

    • At least 18 years of age

    • Vaccinated for Covid

    • Can provide proof of a negative TB test within the last 6 months

    • Can commit to a minimum of 6 consecutive months volunteering (two, four hour shifts per month) 

    • Can commit to in person orientation and trainings at 35 Onondaga Ave, San Francisco

    • Enthusiasm for community service

    • Strong Communication skills

    • Comfortability using interpreting software to communicate with patients who speak other languages

    • Teamwork

    • Time management 

    • Organization

    • Attention to detail

    • Interpersonal skills 

  • No set schedule

    • Meetings can be Mon-Fri

    • Events can run late into the evenings

    • Events can take place on weekends
