Medical Providers: Doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants are needed to provide primary care and specialty services. Get credentialing information.
Clinical Support: Licensed nurses are needed during clinic hours and to provide clinical case management on non-clinic days. Get credentialing information.
Bilingual Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog skills are particularly needed.
Licensure: Clinic by the Bay Board of Directors' policy requires that all medical providers have an active California license to volunteer. These practitioners will also complete a separate credentialing process. Nurses providing care in the clinic are also required to have an active California license and complete a separate credentialing process. Active licenses are not required for all clinical support positions. Clinic by the Bay staff will assess skill level and assign volunteers appropriately.
+ Assist providers and nurses using Electronic Medical Records system. Provide basic IT troubleshooting during clinic hours.
+ Current medical scribes or individuals with previous experience scribing in a clinic or hospital setting.
+ Assist with organizing small dispensary of over-the counter medications.
+ Track medications given out to patients; inventory management.
+ Assist patients with enrollment into prescription assistance programs as needed and provide assistance obtaining medications.
+ Receptionists, eligibility screeners, greeters.
+ Warm and welcoming volunteers needed to work in the clinic's front office as receptionists. Office support needed on non-clinic days as well.
+ Bilingual Spanish and Chinese receptionists particularly needed.
+ These are fast-paced positions that require multi-tasking with a smile!
+ Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog interpreters and translators needed for eligibility screening and medical appointments. Certified medical interpreters are particularly needed.
+ Translators: Translate brochures, screenings tools, written patient information.
+ Interpreters: Assist with answering phones, giving patient directions and, on occasion, accompanying patients to outside appointments.
+ Develop and provide culturally-competent health education programming on topics including hypertension, diabetes management, asthma management, stress management, nutrition and exercise.
+ Bilingual Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog educators particularly needed.
